Author Biography

The author is of Scottish and English ancestry, and has been a professional translator of 72 modern and ancient languages since 1969. He served 26 months in the Brazilian Mission of the LDS Church. He studied Physics and Mathematics at BYU and Strategic Intelligence at the Defense Intelligence College in Washington, D.C. He served nine years as a civilian in Defense Intelligence. He is the son of Col. Robert Wilson Stewart, USAF pilot and navigator, and of Ora Pate Stewart, author of 30 popular books. His wife, Lucy Beth Keller, is of Swiss German ancestry. Their children are Dr. David Grant Stewart, Jr., orthopedic surgeon; Dr. Benjamin Joseph Stewart, Toxicologist at Lawrence Livermore Laborary, married; Aaron Paul Stewart, BS, MS in Electrical Engineering, Dr. Lucy Rae Stewart, Plant Geneticist with her own USDA laboratory; Robert Conrad Stewart, Public Health Administrator, married; Stanford Alexander Stewart, Manufacturing Engineer at Boeing Aircraft; Kathryn Ann Stewart Lowry, commercial artist, married; Seth Andrew Stewart, studying Computer Science; Edison Ford Stewart, studying Manufacturing Engineering; Enoch Elam Stewart, studying Chemical Engineering; Sarah Beth Stewart, studying Theater Arts; M. Eliza Stewart and Ezra Jacob Stewart, still at home. All the older boys are Eagle Scouts and served or are serving missions for the LDS Church. Mr. Stewart resides in Evergreen, Colorado.
