Derek Murphy has been a book cover designer, writing coach and publishing consultant for almost a decade, working behind the scenes with hundreds of indie and self-publishing authors to make their books more successful. He currently teaches authors and artists how to turn their passions into full-time businesses, make a bigger impact, and blaze a luminous trail of creative independence. Besides publishing, Derek is an avid traveler with an interest in history, languages and culture. He's lived in Argentina, Malta and Taiwan, and traveled extensively through dozens of countries. He's been a national representative for Amnesty International, manages several online businesses, and is close to finishing a PHD in Philosophy and Comparative Literature.
