Author Biography
Jim Elfers has been a United States Coast Guard licensed mariner for 30 years and has spent his entire career in the marine industry.During this time has worked as a yacht captain, marine surveyor, boatyard operator, and marina manager with over 50,000 miles logged on various oceans. He is the author of The Baja Bash cruising guide, a former columnist for The San Diego Log, and currently works as a marine surveyor in Northern California.
