BlackBerry Peach Poetry Prizes is an annual competition sponsored by the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS) that celebrates written poetry also performed on stage. Spoken Word poetry has led to a revival in the popularity of poetry over the past several decades. Slam poetry competitions are held around the world, and hip-hop/rap is another popular form of the genre. The 2021 winners include four-time slam world champion Ed Mabrey and multi-award winning poet Jennifer Hambrick. Other well-known poets on this year's winners list include Julie Shavin, Susann Moeller, and Paula J. Lambert. Also known as BBP3, the competition offers significant cash prizes to the winners. Poets interested in entering the competition in 2022 can find contest guidelines at www.nfsps.com/ BBP3guidlines.html
