The lives of three generations of matriarchal women; their secrets, intrigues, sexual exploits, murder and betrayal in the quest to keep their heritage alive. There has always been something mysterious about the Belcey women; born of a long line of prophetesses with powers of telepathy and foresight, they have never allowed men to dominate their way of life. When the matriarch's estranged husband stumbles upon family secrets he threatens to expose everything. It is up to the sixteen year old Belcey daughter to overcome her fears and fulfill her destiny in order to save her family from being torn apart. "Blossoming is best I have read in a long time - it is really so different - its different from anything I have read before, it truly is a perspective on an incredibly intriguing family and also there very liberal manner of viewing the world. The life in a world where woman rule, its full of lovely sex scenes, and sexual liaisons told in a enchanting way - not vulgar or pornographic. A enlightening manner in which provide you understanding of what life may possibly have been like a few thousand years ago in a matriarchal society." George B. Author Biography

I was born on 23rd November, 1975, during Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue Tour, in Boston, Mass., USA. My father, Antony Defries, was managing former Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson, and he was one of Dylan's musicians on the tour. After living in New York and Switzerland, my mother Melanie McDonald and I moved to Chelsea, London in 1980, where I attended Bousfield Primary School in Kensington. After taking my exams for secondary school, I briefly attended Cobham Hall, Kent before moving to Long Island, N.Y. with my father, after my mother's death in 1989. After graduating Oyster Bay High School, Long Island in 1993 with an 85% grade point average, I returned to London and undertook her A Levels at Collingham Tutors, Earls Court: English Literature and Classical Civilization. This enabled me to enrol on a BA English Studies degree course at the University of Westminster, graduating in 1998 with Upper Second Class Honours (2:1).
